As Head of Board Services, you will own the development and growth of Birn+Partners' board services business in Finland. You won't be starting from zero: we have already run our Nordic Board Education programmes in Finland with real success, the next intake begins again in the autumn —and across the Nordics these have been part of our work for years. The groundwork is well under way. But Board Services covers far more than that.

The role sits at the heart of what we do, where executive search, consulting, and board advisory come together. The Nordic model of board work is our strength, and we combine it with an international network and practical expertise. We believe strong boards build strong companies. We offer education, recruitment, and assessment all built on the Nordic board tradition and on international know-how. We help leaders grow into board professionals, and we help companies find the right people for their boards. Together, we are building better board work across the Nordics.

The role

• Build and develop our Board Services business: Board Search, Board Advisory, Nordic Board Education, Board Readiness, and Board Room+

• Work closely with the executive search and consulting teams

• Develop and grow our unique Nordic Board Education concept in Finland and as part of our wider Nordic collaboration

• Build and maintain networks among board professionals, owners, and senior leadership

• Act as a trusted sparring partner to clients on board work, governance, and leadership.

What we are looking for: Someone who understands board work and can build a business around it.

• A genuine interest in making the boards of Finnish companies better

• A hands-on, well-organised way of working

• Experience in board work, board advisory roles, or senior leadership positions

• A strong understanding of governance questions and of developing board work, or of working alongside a board

• The ability to build and grow a business

• Broad networks among company leadership, owners, and board professionals

• A consultative working style that earns trust

• The willingness to roll up your sleeves and organise things and events

• Fluent Finnish and English (Swedish is an advantage).
